One of the most popular times of the year to get married is the fall. For many who choose this time of year with its cooler temperatures and amazing color palette it's a chance to celebrate their homespun craftiness with their love of the season, while ensuring their wedding photos are envied for the colors that lay within.

Using motifs that follow themes of Thanksgiving, Harvest or even Halloween, there are many ways to incorporate different autumn elements into your wedding ceremony and reception.

Utilizing flowered fabrics, like an orange color poppy motif, as napkins and other table linens, or in crafty ways such as the covers of your programs. Tie back ribbons for chair covers, guest book covers, or even vase covers for your floral centerpieces.

Fall offers bridal couples a unique chance to use dried arrangements as alternatives to fresh flowers. For centerpieces, favors, cake decoration, pew decorations and more dried flowers and herbs give texture and dimension along with muted earthy looking colors.

But flowers aren't the only accessories that can add texture to a fall wedding, using beautiful berries such hypericum berries, autumn foliage including the bursting color of maple leafs, and other autumn accessories such as nuts, fruits and vegetables from an autumn harvest, you can decorate your tables, window ledges, or individual archways to give them the autumn feel you are searching for.

Add even more color to your wedding by choosing signature drinks that follow your theme such as green apple martinis, cranberry flavored cosmopolitans, or warm apple cider.

Again with planning, many orchards will create stencils for their apples in the spring that will ensure when the apple ripens, your name or wedding logo appears right on the skin of the apple. Or should your wedding be near to Halloween skip the tricks and go straight for the treats with a colorful candy buffet, and bright orange pumpkin baskets for your guests to fill.
